it's never been his in the digital ring that we disliked him he just seems to be a total cockhead outside of it.
he knows little about boxing but acts lieka expert he thinks he is a champion but hasnt won a title.
the guy used to be a runner....pure stuck to the ropes do nothing for the whole fight just survive....and when we all complained he changed his style to a balls out slugger.
his wins are doubious his skills are basic at least not tactics if he tires puh doesnt matter. he isnt subtle just a big loud mouth since all the big guns like unstopable/larry holmes/fatny/nigel benn/fernando/HTF these guys were always fighting non stop trying to proove who it the best.
he now thinks he is at this level and is better than him
when fatny beat the rest of the best and most of them retired becuase of work and stuff.
no on was left the only few people to be here were undergraduates. and prospects....why oh why has everyone talked about reaper.

god i remember the days when he was a young prospect

Oscar wrote:Get rid of this racist idiot ^ and more people might stick in OB.
However the thing is with Ob noone wants to try it cos of it being 2D, best thing to do is just mention to people about it being an onlineboxing simulation then more chance of them getting hooked
this is what im trying to say give it to boxing forums they will lap it up they are usually boxing fans who will take anything boxing.
have you seen somthing called vivi.com it's amazingly popular in eastsideboxing and is a boxing game but....it's words only words so i dont think it should be about game graphics but more on the gameplay.
try and organise this right and get some postersup i will put avatars with onlineboxing at the bottom ...if you could make them oscar?

comrades, brothers...reaper
we love ob it's like a bad marriage you enjoy it when it's all good going then you get depression becuase of the amount of time you get koed and activly jump out of are seats when you get knocked down.
i appeal to get ob out there in the face of all boxing fans and online gaming fans.
im talking myspace, boxing forums (eastsideboxing, saddoboxing, boxrec ect), printer flyers or graffing
also mikkel what about talking to places like flash games and those coffeebreak arcade stuff. even newgrounds might be willing to help.
im telling you there are so many mediums that we all are able to bring together and really make ob into OB

and judah only won the 2nd match by a fluke punch and in that it took him 21 rounds till he pu him away.
he was winning the fight by a few points before he knocked out spinks
you either box with him and hope to look better or try and knock him out which you wont hit him and he will outbox you till you can at least land a shot
In other words you're saying guys with physical advantages and brawlers with less boxing skills than pure boxers should try to box with them and beat them at their own game. Nice strategy.
I guess we both make very bad posts, man.
*PS: since you didn't get it, I was half joking in that other post. But I do think there's a fair chance Pavlik gets a stoppage and I hope it happens. If not, Taylor UD.
nope dont say in other words becuase thats not what i mean
i said spinks is damn hard to beat becuaswe there is no style you can win convincingly...i mean zab judah took ages to get to him even if he won the rounds he was far form going to win. until that left uppercut.
jarmian cant outmucle him becuase thats spinks stlye of fighting of letting them come forewards jab and clinch then stay circling for the whole fight throwing the jab to get them to move...mayorga looked so ponderous becuase of it. and he is not a thinking fighter he is a balls out brawler.
do you get what i mean you put to much danger to outbox him and too much to try and finish.
why do you think no one wants to fight him? it's lucky he is with don king or he would not be picked up until way out of his prime (same with winky)
he is a great technical boxer with nothing above average skills except the way to win.
so no not in other words this is what i mean.
anyways pavlik has made everyone seem weak chinned

they are not overwieght
look at the 80's
tony tubbs...very fat but still had great handspeed
larry holmes...put alot of wieght around the waist line
david bey...was far from thin
james douglas...big big eater
james broad...alright then just blooned up at his prime
bonecrusher...just seemed to lose his fitness.
shannon briggs steroided up to the max incredibly big almost a statue than a boxer...but not fat
valuev he isnt but he has a get out of jail card he is tall becuase of gigantis which makes big frame but is impossible to shape he trains very hard but his body doesnt change
igbragimov had a body disorder when he was young that chewed his muscled and is only now making muscles

man i watched the first 3 rounds and felt you know what taylor has him
pavliks a joke as some of us thought.
got up this morning went on eastsideboxing and wham firsat news article saying
pavlik koes taylor in 7
looked at the replays and just saw how open taylor was look at that right hand...looks like taylor was throwing a fucking grenade and the jab looked like he was loading up a bow and arrow.
i have always known he was easy to hit and i thought as accurate as pavlike is he doesnt have the boxing abilty to win.and which i felt was goign to happen taylor crushed his aggresion and drove him back into the ropes and punished him and really gave pavlik all the trouble in the world but then wham the jab seemed to go...and pavlik just threw right hand more and more and caught jermain flush and basicly end.
anyone feel about a early stoppage? becuase jermain got up pretty quick after the fight and knew where he was.

Fatny wrote:Taylor was getting hit a lot and backed up by miniature-no-power Ouma, this time he's going down!
He wasn't agressive against featherweight-power Spinks because he knows he has a paper chin.
Pavlik by brutal 8th round KO!
nah
ouma is a man with ungodly workrate and taylor went to ko him in 4 rounds till ouma basicly stuck out his chin and just launched featherfisted but plentiful punches.
loads of fighters who are featherfisted can ko anyone and somone who is feathefisted can back men up look at jake lamotta or chris byrd.
and spinks is possible the most unorthodox fighter to fight against there is nothing you can really do than either go to war with him that judah and mayoraga did....which they both lost and judah only won the 2nd match by a fluke punch and in that it took him 21 rounds till he pu him away.
you either box with him and hope to look better or try and knock him out which you wont hit him and he will outbox you till you can at least land a shot.
very bad post man

Tyrant wrote:I would go with Pernell...
half the people who say Willie Pep, say it because that is what they read...I've barely seen any video of him...so based on what I have seen...Sweet Pea, prime Ali and Mayweather
they all are great defensively in close and with their own moves...
Ali was great with leaning from punches.
Floyd is great in the pocket with his shoulder roll.
Pernell was great with movement, ducking and slipping.
oh pep was a genius he didnt have the natural movement ...he was clinically flat footed so to defend himself he would jab in and move out and duck very low using his lower centre of gravity to use for him.
he was almost impossible to hit cleanly and the only person to do that was sandy saddler who was a scary mutherfucka.
5'9 very lanky had a short reach but a big punch and a brutal attitude. he basicly (and im not jokingpicked pep up and threw him into a corner and threw lowblows ,headbutts ,elbows everything to make this a horrible fight for pep...he crushed him and basicly ripped willie apart.
in the 2nd fight saddler i have been told only hit pep 32 times to peps (around) 250 punches landed
pep was beutiful to watch he would sit on the ropes and just block and dodge everything but he was just in an era when the biggerwieght divisions were taking over and the lower wieghts were getting less and less airtime.
a shame becuase the footage would of been unbeilvable.

Donny_king wrote:Didn't Bruno hit hard, I'm sure I saw him defeat Tyson in a power contest on some game show once but it was like twenty years ago so I may be mistaken.
But P4P I really don't know.
yeah bruno threw a left hook against tyson in the first round of the first fight and tyson was badly hurt very impressive when mike has an iron chin.
but to be honest bruno hit hard hard but it wasn power it was more wieght that he seemed to just bludgeon them to the ground im talking about the one punch knock out.
he does have alot of power hurt lewis and destroyed coetzee easily.
but he didnt have the stamina to really luanch the power shots afte rthe 5th round he would be tired and then you would just pick him off where his power was useless once he tired he lost his ko power.
he also stunned maybe the hardest chin of all time in oliver mcCall with a big right hand.
good choice

Tyrant wrote:This is a very tough pick...but I am picking Taylor...Pavlik is a good and hungry fighter, but we know more of what Taylor has than Pavlik....
his destruction of Miranda was impressive...but as flawed as Taylor is, he has fought Hopkins (future HOFer, undisputed mw champ and #1 p4p at the time) x2, Winky (future HOFer, top 3 P4P, undisputed jr mw champ), tough chinned southpaw Kassim Ouma, and slick IBF jr MW champ Spinks.
Some say he has been protected, I disagree...
will be competitive, but I pick Taylor in a close/good fight
well pavlik is an undercard fighter one of the guys who have a name to knock out a journeyman for viewing time for fans.
he can hit very hard and has great technique for a slugger...well better than miranda i say.luckly for kelley. miranda fought sombody he didnt know about and stepped on a land mine when he noticed his opponant hits just as hard as him.
but taylors chin is rock solid he can take a big punch and isnt a small man for the wieght either. like other fighters pavlik has fought.
a tough fight but taylors power jab and more schooled approach will win him a figh...either way taylor isnt staying at middlewieght and is going to go to super middlewieght...so joe calzaghe should really show his mantel

i disagree joe louis best p4p puncher.
Lmfao are u fully retarded? I put him in there, learn to read past the first 3 words.
i disagree frazier hit harder and mayorga gets a close top 20
really mayorga had great power but hideous technique i wouldnt rank him top 10 i have him high in welterwieghts but p4p not sure...but a nice wild card fighter into the mix.

littleg wrote:Hey Mike. Im an uneducated boxing fan. Could You please explain what you mean by hardest p4p puncher. Hardest I presume excludes heavy puncher right?
well p4p means if each fighter was the same wieght dimensions who would...(place word here)
heavywieghts hit harder than most becuase they have a bigger frame mucsle ect.
but yet fighters like holyfield, byrd and mcCline are big men but dont have any 1 punch power.
and fighters like as i said julian jackson could break bones with punches yet he wieghed only 154 pounds in his prime...yet most heavies are wieghing around 220 pounds and julian could still hit just as hard if not harder.
do you understand me?
