I don't know if yall paid any attention to this but the time basis in between every HOFamer is interesting.
In the earlier years of OB the time basis in between fighters was quite short some were even inducted the same month or a month later. But as OB got into it later years less were getting inducted and even a few years went by before someone got inducted. I found that a little interesting is all... Does someone have a logical reason why that may have been the case because there were a lot of good fighters in between those times, I just cant put my finger on it why that happened...

i saw that long time before this thread. And thats the reason why i dont respect the HOF (no offense to Fatny and John, they really deserve this HOF). But for me it looks like that at the beginning of the HOF just names were needed to fill it and build the basis of it.

None taken Redneck and yeah I noticed this as well but the HOF should have rules or requirements that should never change and have a yearly induction you know. For example:
Had to have played for a year or more
Got over 75+ Titles won
Got over 150+ Title defences
Has to have a Positive record
Win Ratio 65% or over
In Top 3 for like 6 months straight
Majority Vote from HOF and Community

"John represents the renaissance of OB. John stepped up and filled the vacuum Fatny left behind. Not only his skills are amazing, also his dedication to keep this game interesting and alive. I was there when he first won the title, I was watching over his shoulder when he bullied all competition, I was there when he became a HOF´er. I may not be a great fighter myself, but I do have eye for talent. John is something special, I told him right after he won his first title. John is the spark that became a flame that turned into a devastating fire. Apart from being a great guy he never stepped down from a challenge and always looked to square off against OB´s best to further improve his skills. Many HOF´ers made short comebacks during the year John reigned OB, only to be knocked out by Big Bad John." - Dick E. Boon
"The thing with John is that he's just so extremely accurate, both in offense and in defense. There's some punches I consider myself a master of, like the small hook and the long upper. Well they're useless against John no matter how well you throw them, he just keeps blocking 90% of them and hurting you in the process. Speaking of which...if he hurts you (and he will), you better move your head a lot because he also happens to be one of the best finishers i've ever seen. Basically if you're not extremely good AND creative, you'll end up on the floor. A fine addition to the hall of fame indeed." - Fatny |

The HOF just changes with time. I don't think people were inducted merely to fill up the spots at the start of OB. It may've been easier to be inducted back then (none of us were around then) but clearly the circumstances were different.

I agree, Sal's favoritism towards the vets pretty much fucked up the Hall of Fame.

Theres guys that should have been inducted before me like Nigel Benn, Jermain Taylor, Black Bear, Red Viper, Sugarray and maybe even Reaper. If these requirements were used back then im pretty sure that these guys would be in by now, well most of them.
