How about this.. Every year or how ever long we decide.. We must come up with 5 different canidates... Maybe people can work their way on to the prospect page as Larry came up with.. Then all of the Hof'ers vote between the canidates to decide who should get in...

Well one thing that has always confused me is. What exactly do you have to do, to get into the HOF ?

What are the attributes that you have to have that seperate you from the rest of the players and make you a good candidate for induction ?

I understand dominance, longevity which I totally agree with but then what are the other reasons/attributes ?

you basically answered your own question..dominance and longevity...however since there are no specific rules and people have their own opinions about what classifies as a HOF career, things have seemed unbalanced

Just curious, but has anyone ever checked out the standards they use for the boxing hall of fame. better yet ask Greg Haugen what it takes to be a HOF'er then maybe JT could get there, but wait JT lost the popularity contest didnt he.


I say Mogray, JT, Tyrant,Turkish Warrior,and numerous others have been just as good or better than a few of the Hof'ers but they lost the popularity contests. Put JT's 318 title wins up against some of the current HOF'ers. Unstoppable 336 MAB 259.

JT's record 3150-692 (never dominated?) sugarrays record 3500-2144 (he should be what?) tyrant's record 3418-1277 (just retired never considered good enough)

Turkish Warrior 1634-897. 81 title wins (never considered?) Fernando Vargas 1454-480 83 title wins( being considered?) Sugarray 101 title wins in 5644 fights (being considered because?)

These are just a few random stats. I think Mogray got it right in his posts. Every fool here votes for his buddies. MOGRAY FOR PRESIDENT

I agree things are totally unbalanced. I think what the person has brought to OB should be considered along with the two allready said attributes, dominance and longevity.

Such people as yourself Tyrant, we have many guys here that would of never amounted to much if it wasn't for your teachings. HTF is one of them maybe, no offence intended there HTF I just used you as an example.

I'd like someone to go into the HOF page and write down all the attributes that each fighter had, then maybe we can get some idea of what it takes to become a HOF'er.

If we feel that there isn't HOF talent in the batch of canidates then there will not be an induction.. I think this idea is pretty good..
