Since this question comes up alot:
Here are the rules for title matches as it is today
1) A fight can only be considered a title defense if the contender is in the top 20
2) A champion that doesn't defend within 8 days will be stripped and the vacant title will be given to the highest ranked fighter.
3) If you are given a vacant title you have 24 hours to defend it..after your first defense you have 8 days

But I think the former champ should get a RM right away. just like in the old days.

8 days is way too much to defend your title. Imo you need to defend the title at least 3 times in a 3 day time span. The way the program is designed now champs can sit on their belt and KO Eddie (no offence) once every 8 days.

I think the 'unwritten' rule of giving the losing champ a rm should be or a written rule and part of the script, or there shouldnt be such thing as an unwritten rule. In real boxing there arent rm's all the time either.

Yea u shud just add defend 3 times about every 3-5 days cuz its to easy once every 8 days cuz theres bound to be a noob in the top 20...
And the Champ shud get an immediate rematch cuz its always been tht way and its worked the best..

I think 3 times in 3 days could be a little harsh on the guy who has the title...some people have a life away from the computer...

I think 1 defence every 3 days should be a minimum requirement for the title holder!

A conversation I just had with Redneck (Devilback) that portrays situation of having a title(s) well:

- Quotes: "I just TKoed you 16 times in a row Reaper. What's the matter? Can not make is past first two rounds? Did I make you quit? Why so silent all of sudden? Oh I just made you STFU "

- Stupid nickname given by other players: Mini Fatny.

- Words of wisdom: Styles make fights. Sometimes even HOF caliber fighters lose to inferior boxers due to this fact. Everyone has their rythm and once you get inside that rythm, you will make life hell for that person (in the ring).

- PS. All signatures are stupid.
