Someone Explain the meaning of Platlets

doctors told me that it is low.idk if it means blood.But what do i have to do to get my blood to start increasing.

thank you very much man.My blood has been going down and it wont increase so the doctor say i gotta eat healthy food and i have to get a cure for it.
