rankings wrote:I am back for the 3rd month doing the unbiased power rankings. if you feel you should be on here messege me and I will check out some of your fights and decide.

1. Salvador sanchez/barrack Obama. Salvador is back to the top. After a long retirement he quickly shook the rust off and now holds every major title in the game. Combining vet smarts with exceptional speed and a never say die attitude sal is the man to beat.

2. Red Viper This will not come as a shock to many. Red viper has always been a force to reckon with and has really stepped up since alot of the other vets have retired. the best slugger there is. If you stand in front of him you will fall down. He is one sided but it doesnt really matter.

3. Chopper81 Chopper has always been a solid fighter. very talented and composed when he fights. He is really starting to step up his boxing game and has broken into the top 5. If he was more active he would probably hold at least one title.

4. Goldenboy69 Goldenboy has always been a thorn in your side, capable of a knockout at a moments notice. He has learned to pace himself better and has beaten the likes of salvador, dirk diggler, and unstoppable in title fights. combining boxing and slugging skills along with good handspeed. He continues to improve daily.

5. Dirk Diggler The king of the high ping players. Dirk Diggler has a horrible connection but a steller record. He has serious skills and I believe he would be even better full speed. Dirk racks up some nice win streaks and continues to be the most contriversial player

6. Captain America Captain America is starting to show his full potential. He is a good well rounded fighter that wins when he should and loses when he should. He is still young in his online boxing career and has the potential to be great

7. Boxa Boxa would be ranked alot higher if he was more active. He is an exceptional boxer with some very slick combos. If he plays more he will be in the top 3 or 4 players. Boxa has the talent to be one of the best.

8. Jigsaw Jigsaw has been around for a while now and has always been a very good fighter. He can beat alot of players and has tough fights when most everyone on this list. the sky is the limit for this young boxer.

9. Redneck Redneck is a good player. He has a boring style that take a long time to crack. Alot of the hype around him is true. He has the skills to do allright but his attitude puts him low on this list. He pads, ducks and makes excuses when fighting most of the guys on this list and until then he will not improve.

10. Paul Dion Paul Dion is back after a long retirement and slowly working his way back up the ladder. I do not know a whole lot about him but I saw a few of his fights when he beat edder1234 and he has some serious potential.

see you in november

Well heres mine but some of these ranks are wrong.

1. Salvador Sanchez- He is obviously the best fighter right now.

2. Red Viper- The best slugger and offensive fighter in OB History. Also has the best KO Percentage of any fighter in history. Has a very unusaul style but its very effective. The jab improved it and became a force since then. One of the best pressure and comback fighters as well and is very underrated by a lot of people. I don't care about what people say he deserves the number two spot.

3. Dirk Diggler/Boondickie- I hate to say this but he defiantly deserves the number three spot. Hey may lag but he is a very good fighter with very good defense. Also a very underestimated by a lot of people except me and TRPCHE.

4. Here to FIght- This guy camback recently but he still has not lost his touch.

5. Chopper81- I haven't fought this guy much recently but he has good boxing skills with a good defence.

6. Goldenboy88- He improved a lot recently and just recently but recently became Champ for a short amount of time by defeating Paul Dion. He has beaten good fighters for titles including Dirk Diggler and Catfish for past titles.

7. Captain America- Also a fighter that improved a lot recently. He has a good offence but may lose at the 2nd half of the fight. He has KO'ed many good fighters including Fatny, Boon and sometimes myself.

8. Paul Dion- He also returned from his retirement but so far he is fighting good. He won titles from both TKOKnockout and won the rematch from goldeboy88.

9. TKOKnockout- I hate to say this but this guy deserves to be in the top 10. A proteige of mine and improved when he came back from his short retirement. He just recently got two very good and important victories over Redneck for the OBW title.

10.Redneck- he may be hated but has a good offence. Has unusual style like me but sometimes is effective. He won the OBW title but just recently lost it.

On the Radar

edder1234- Another student of mne, he diffence somehow improved but his offence is his strong point. He can be force in the near future if he keeps this up. Out of the new breed, he has the best KO percentage.

TRPCHE- He is very underrated fighter that fights a lot better than his record. He has a good defence and a very good lag fighter. He often beats people like Boon.

Jigsaw- He was good but he is not very active right now. If he was he would be Top 10 material. Had to cut his activeness because of school.

Toosmooth- A good veteran fighter but has one of the best hooks in OB History.

tuaman- He is one tough SOB to finish. He has a good offence but he spams a lot to kill his stamina before a 10 round fight is over.

LOL, this post made me laugh, please don't take any offence in what I'm going to say because you are a very good boxer and perhaps should be rate in the top 3, but two things made me laugh in your post.
1) The 9 other guys in the list get one maybe two sentences, but when writing about yourself you get four sentences saying how great you are, 2) speaking in third person about yourself, the post reminded me of a WWE Wrestlers promo.

I totally agree. It reminded me of something a prime Roy Jones Jr. would do.

Redviper, you're also off on a few things.

1. The best offensive fighter in the game ever has to be Fatny. No doubt about it.

2. You do not have the best KO percentage of all-time. You have to count all of your fights, and even if you calculate it the way you do it, my Barrack ID has a higher KO percentage than any of yours.

3. You were not the first person to KO Barrack. Therefore, fix your signature.

we all know that this lists are the opinion of one person (for example..if you, Barrack wrote this list i would not appear in it..not in top10 and not in radar). If i publish a list like this i would be rank 3 cause i beat all of the guys named in rank 3-9 more often than they beat me. Jigsaw for example..i beat him 4 times and he wins 1 time. But he is ranked more high than me. A total different list again.
The coolest thing would be a REAL LIST. But it is a lot of work to check every fighters wins and loses etc. Noone wants to do this work.
So the only thing we got are this "Opinion Lists". They dont say nothing.

You completely missed the point of my post, I wasn't debating who should be top ten, please read in future.

"The thing with John is that he's just so extremely accurate, both in offense and in defense. There's some punches I consider myself a master of, like the small hook and the long upper. Well they're useless against John no matter how well you throw them, he just keeps blocking 90% of them and hurting you in the process. Speaking of which...if he hurts you (and he will), you better move your head a lot because he also happens to be one of the best finishers i've ever seen. Everyone´s top 10 is subect to debate. That´s why I suggest Mikkel writes a script and based on that script the top 10 is automatically generated each month.

I recommended that before, but I don't think it could work. For example, let's say you take the top 5 fighters. You then have the top 2 beat the #4 & #5 fighters repeatedly, and now all of their points have been taken away and they aren't even top 20. The script would treat these 2 as nobodies.

The best way is for a special committee of 5 people to submit their top 10 lists. 1st place votes yield 10 points, 2nd - 9 votes, 3rd - 8 votes, etc...

I also think it's pretty clear who the top 1-2 fighters are simply by looking at records. The best fighters are the most consistent at winning more than losing against the rest of the top 10. Now it gets a bit hazy once you get to 3-10. Styles really make fights.

It's also wrong for the #7 fighter to think he's better than the #4 fighter because he may have beaten him the last couple of times they fought. The #4 fighter may struggle against the #7 fighter, but he may be overall more consistent against the other guys in the top 10.

It's hard to analyze records too because a lot of people don't fight as often. So in the end, the best bet is the committee idea. However, we would need five knowledgable and extremely objective individuals to participate.

Hello, you may know me from such things as "Paul Dion Boxing Talk TV" ... or the promotion company "Paul Dion Promotions"... Well I am extremely objective. I would not favour anyone and I would not hesitate to place an enemy in the top 10 if they deserve it.

So I put my name down to be in the committee. But who is gunna judge who should be on the committee.

Anyways I think Obama's idea is a good one!

Sure even the outcome of an automatic script will be subject to debate. Google´s search ranking are too, but most people see it as very reliable.

We could discuss if the script should be openly published or kept secret,
like Google's algorithm.
